⏺ The Role
In the first quarter of this year, the business has been instrumental in winning work as well and together with a projected busy year ahead of us, the business has now established a requirement for a Senior Hydraulic/Stormwater Engineer such as yourself to provide expertise across hydrological modelling, 1D/2D numerical hydraulic modelling, drainage design and detention modelling.
Your role is for the most part technically orientated. The scope of the role is hands-on design, providing valuable insight and input and helping them deliver projects. A long-term goal for your position is growth to a design management role in future, mentoring juniors and aiding in their development.
⏺ The Candidate
Your experience in the design of stormwater, erosion & sediment control, WSUD and civil projects using MUSIC, HEC-RAS and DRAINS will be essential for you to be successful in this position.
Your strong communication skills and ability to converse with a variety of people will allow you to attend meetings externally of the business (council, client, site) on your own to coordinate the delivery of projects.
As a guideline, the below is an indication of what is needed from your experience.
- 8 years+ experience in civil engineering, particularly, stormwater and hydraulic design, water quality and flood studies.
- Degree in Civil Engineering.
- To be proficient in relevant Hydrological Models 1D & 2D software (XP-SWMM/DRAINS/ MIKE/11/22 TUFLOW HEC RAS).
- Familiarity with NSW Guidelines & Water Quality Modelling Experience.
- Ideally holds CPEng Qualification, however, isn't essential.
