Our client is seeking a
Project Manager
for the Hunter & Greater Sydney Area with experience in
Civil, Residential, Sub-Division and ideally Industrial projects.
You will be responsible for driving and coordinating the effective delivery of projects that meet the required outcomes for clients and key stakeholders, ensuring timely completion and within budget.Project Manager

The Project Manager needs to establish and maintain effective relationships with relevant external stakeholders and project site teams.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Project and Construction Management
Contract Management - Tendering and Submission
- WH&S / Environmental
Quality Control Duties: - Subcontractor Management
- Leadership skills
- Experienced in Civil, Residential, Commercial and ideally Industrial projects
Project and Construction Management Duties:
- In conjunction with the Director/General Manager and Site Manager, plan and review overall status of project(s) on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure timely purchase of all materials and sub-contractors in accordance with specifications, taking into consideration price, quality, programming and standard of service.
- Identify and record any possible variations to the contract, ensuring the Client and Finance Team are promptly notified. Ensure no work proceeds until variations are approved by Client or Director/General Manager.
- Make the Client and Superintendent aware of the effects of time or cost of variations as soon as reasonably practical to allow for adequate planning and contingencies.
- Ensure that all statutory requirements (e.g. Local Council, EPA, SafeWork etc.) are always adhered to on site
- As required, provide advice, support and assistance to employees and clients in relation to any technical / complex problems that may arise on site.
- Work with Finance Team to set budgets and ensure the Site Teams measure and report on production against these budgets.
- Assist the Sales Team as required for Tenders.
- Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the schedule for each project.
- Create and maintain the Construction Program for each project in conjunction with the Project Team.
- Look out for tender opportunities within your work area.
- Manage the expectations of the Client, ensure they are receiving just and commercially viable solutions to various issues on site and make them aware of changes as they arise.
- Deliver information to the Site Team that is deemed relevant and critical to the project in a timely manner to ensure the distribution of information is received timely by relevant parties.
- Assist the Site Team in providing the most positive experience as possible for the Client to help create repeat business and build upon the companies reputation within the industry.
- Prepare and send applicable NOD, PC, EOTs and variations.
- Understand the budget, key job targets and deliverables. Ensure that this is shared with the Site Team.
