Job Description
This project is seeking several experienced Tunnelling and Civil Project Engineers for the Tunnel Civil Fit Out.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
• Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports.
• Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Site Manager or Project Manager.
• Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects.
• Contribute to improvements to existing designs.
• Arrange and oversee the letting of tenders.
• Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
• Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards.
• Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the project.
• Analyse and use document and record management, progress and project performance reporting, compliance reporting.
• Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes ¬ Utilise effective time management skills including sequencing of work of own and resource time management. ¬
• Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems, reporting and procedures.
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or other relevant discipline
• Proven experience with a top-tier or mid-tier building contractor delivering projects in excess of $100 million
• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder managements skills
• Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills.
