This progressive Mental Health organisation, based near Sydney's CBD, is a not for profit with a standing history of 25+years who advocates and speaks with and for people living with mental health, influencing systemic change in systems and ensuring the voices are heard by decision makers. They run pioneering and life changing programs to support people living with mental health in their day to day lives. Due to growth, this great organisation is now looking for an HR Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Role
In this role you will managing the HR for this great organisation of under 20 staff.
You will be leading the end to end HR management, coordinating the day to day functions, overseeing the administration and evaluation of HR within the organisation and advising management on best practices. As this role is newly created, you will have the flexibility and autonomy to implement the best practices in conjunction with the Management.
Your role will involve reviewing and implementing organisational practices & policies - ensuring a strong and up to date HR policy and procedure framework, supporting L&D, assisting the CEO & Managers with staff wellbeing & performance, supporting payroll with leave management as well as the end to end recruitment and onboarding.
You will be following industry trends and be compliant with legislation and awards and will keep your finger on the pulse of the latest industry and HR practices.
Your role will also involve overseeing the design & delivery of content for the Volunteer programs across the organisation as well as being involved in program training framework.

About You
- You have experience as a stand alone HR Manager and experience working for a NFP or an NGO organisation
- You have an understanding of the mental health & suicide prevention landscape in NSW and Australia
- Tertiary qualifications in HR/ Business Management
- You have an understanding and/or experience of mental health
