From a project perspective, the business has recently won a major hospital project in Western Sydney and is also working on a major transport infrastructure project in QLD. ➡️ The Role
Previously and to date, fire services have primarily been taken care of by other offices within the company’s group. The business has a total of 5 fire designers across their network of offices who have so far taken care of the Sydney offices’ workload (from a wet fire design perspective).
Due to a very busy work schedule, and other resources being stretched, the business has established a brand-new requirement for a Fire Engineer/Designer to be based in the Sydney office and work on NSW-based projects.
Your role will work as part of the national fire engineering team and will report to both the Sydney Office Lead as well as the Hydraulic Lead (also based in Sydney). Primarily, your role will be technically orientated – producing detailed designs, conducting design reviews, managing projects, and carrying out inspections.
You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects which include commercial, retail, datacentre, health/hospital, and premium residential apartments buildings.

- Experience in wet fire design across building services projects in Australia.
- FPAS accreditation or eligibility for the accreditation is essential.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in plumbing or equivalent.
