A highly respected, worldwide engineering consultancy who’ve been established for over 60 years is seeking their next hire from their Gold Coast office. The business is fully operational in Australia, possessing offices in all of the major cities.
Globally, the company has over 4500 employees, operating out of 21 countries and has grown 5% in the last 12 months. It has experienced consistent success and as a result, has a low attrition rate and 3-year average tenure rate.
The business has a diverse market focus, involved in complex engineering and design services, as well as advisory, project management and planning. They operate across most markets and from a civil engineering perspective, mainly in the infrastructure and built environment development space. This consists of commercial civil projects, subdivisions, land development and transport infrastructure developments across most states in Australia.
The culture within the business is very much professional. However, in keeping with the office’s location, it is also laid back and easy going in a lot of ways. Staff are social and enjoy beers and/or lunch together on Fridays and morale is high. The office is located in an area with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops and is easily accessible for those using public transport or their own vehicles.
Due to increased workload in the business, the Gold Coast office and their civil engineering team have established a requirement for an experienced Civil 12D Designer.
As a Civil Designer within the civil engineering design team, you will be independently working in a hands-on, technical designer and modelling position, whilst collaboratively coordinating with internal teams, engineers and drafters across various projects within the urban development project space.
Whilst this role is largely autonomous, you will be working within the group's civil team that consists of 15 engineers, designers and drafters, located across QLD, NSW and VIC.
Unlike most roles, this business is for the most part open as to your background. If you’re an experienced designer with good knowledge of 12D and you have project experience in either land and/or urban development, council infrastructure, commercial civil project or even renewables you will be considered for the role. Transport infrastructure, however, is not relevant for this role.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working in either land and/or urban development, council infrastructure, commercial civil project or even renewables.
- Tertiary qualification in civil engineering.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with the team, managers and clients.
What's on offer:
- A remuneration package of up to $120k.
- Modern, light and airy office space with excellent facilities and entertainment area.
- On-going training opportunities and career development.
